Anniversary Celebration

The 50th Anniversary Celebration officially began Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014 with the founding pastor, Rev. Wayne and Carol McArthur. Rev. McArthur spoke at both services. There was time for fellowship between and after services. We also had a luncheon at a local restaurant after second service.
We honored a former pastor each month during the celebration.

May 11 - we had a video message from Fred Rickleff.
June 15 - Peter Lovell spoke on behalf of Doug DeGraaf (deceased). July 13 - Jay Walkington spoke.
August 17 - Orrell Ruth spoke.
September 7 - The Shaw family honored Pastor Bill. Pastor Bill's sons lead the service - Tim spoke and Dan sang.

Each month, we highlighted God's ministry under each pastor's serving time.

The celebration ended on Sunday, October 12(the Sunday nearest the Charter Day). On this day, we had one worship at 10:00 a.m. with the Northern Illinois Annual Conference Bishop Sally Dyck preached and the Elgin District Superintendent Rev. Oscar Carrasco greeted. A celebration potluck (it's traditional) luncheon followed the service.
